Judge Reluctant To Investigate CIA's Destruction Of Interrogation Tapes

With the recent announcement that the CIA destroyed tapes of interrogations in efforts to prevent the US Congress and American people from seeing the torture being used on prisoners, a US Judge is now concerned about taking on this monumental task. And he should be given that if he does his job properly, he'll find the need for Congress to open an investigation into the COINTELPRO operations of the US Intelligence community; one not seen since the Church Committee Hearings of the 1970's.

In all likelihood, he will probably just do a superficial investigation and give the CIA a slap on the wrist. If not, he risks being covertly attacked for his efforts to expose these crimes, and the domino effect that any thorough investigation will have throughout the Intelligence community.
