The word income is never defined in the Internal Revenue code.
The following chapter of the IRS tax code clearly states that paying a tax on the wages of one's salary is not mandatory, but voluntary. In plain terms, if an American worker does not wish to pay taxes on his earnings, there is no law which authorizes the IRS to levy a tax on such earnings. So how can Americans who refuse to file an income tax return be imprisoned for refusing to do so?
