A provocative book released in 2012 by author Peter Janney, whose father worked with Mary Pinchot Meyer's husband, Cord Meyer Jr. at the CIA, and whose mother had been a classmate of Mary's at Vassar, implicates the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency in the murders of both Meyer as well as her lover, President John F. Kennedy. In his book, Janney recounts his childhood memories of Mary Meyer, and coming to grips with the fact that his father played an integral role in the CIA's murder of the Georgetown Socialite.
